Where Meridian Bank was stuck.

Meridian Bank's network infrastructure was a patchwork of hardware spanning two data centres and 28 branches, running on equipment averaging 9 years old. MTTR for major incidents was over 4 hours. The compliance team had flagged three critical vulnerabilities in the existing MPLS topology. The previous vendor had scoped the migration at 6 months with two planned downtime windows, neither acceptable to operations or to regulators.

How we solved it.

We designed a phased SD-WAN migration plan that isolated risk at every stage. Branches were migrated in cohorts of four, each tested in a shadow mode before cutover. The two data centres were migrated in a coordinated overnight window using pre-validated runbooks with 15-minute rollback checkpoints. All 400 nodes were migrated in 14 weeks of preparation and a single 52-hour cutover weekend.

Results that matter.

The migration completed on schedule with zero unplanned downtime. MTTR dropped from 4 hours to under 18 minutes. All three compliance vulnerabilities were resolved. Network performance improved by 34 % on average across branches. Meridian subsequently engaged Setten on a 3-year managed network service agreement.

"Tom and the Sustain team planned the cutover in granular detail and executed it over a single weekend without a single outage. Our previous vendor said it would take six months with two downtime windows. Setten did it in three months with none."
